The thinking behind the experience

The brief

Lot66 had an American Greyhound bus on site without a clear purpose. The assignment was to turn that existing asset into a story-driven attraction that would strengthen the family entertainment centre’s immersive offer.

The concept

A competitive experience set in a fictional Chicago heist in 1965. Two teams move through a narrative with environmental storytelling, role-based interaction and escape-room-inspired challenges. A final confrontation inside the bus gives the teams different objectives, with multiple outcomes based on their performance.

My contribution

I developed the concept from beginning to end: storyline and characters, the journey across multiple locations, challenges, game mechanics and the full operational script. Guest Experience Model, Customer Journey Mapping and pre- and post-exposure theory informed the design.

The outcome

A detailed implementation plan for Lot66 to use as a guide for execution. The project shows how storytelling and gameplay can give an existing asset a new purpose within an operational venue. Delivered as a graduation concept and implementation proposal.
